The New York Times has banned the use of the word ‘tweet’ outside of ‘ornithological contexts.’ Apparently it’s not STANDARD ENGLISH. Editorial staff enjoyed a good old ‘LOL.’ Pundits indulged in a spot of ‘LMAO-ing.’ NYT linguistic curators were unavailable for comment: last seen scrambling for the keys to their Deloreans.

Google Gets into Monopoly/Property Game

News today from the interwebs suggests that Google is playing Monopoly by integrating property search functionality within Google Maps. ‘Wowzers’ said Findaproperty.com and others. Scrabble refused to comment. Its stuff is pretty well patented.
